3D Design
Precise modelling using CAD software to guarantee perfect and reproducible volumes.
Wood Block Preparation
We create the wood block to the exact dimensions for machining the hat block.
Made from lime wood, as block makers have done for 100 years.
Lime wood sourced within 100km of the workshop.
Robotic Machining
Sculpting the wood block with a 7-axis robot to a precision of 5 tenths of a millimetre.
Hand Sanding
Fine sanding by our craftspeople to remove tool marks and achieve a perfectly smooth surface ready for varnishing.
Varnishing
Application of a protective varnish resistant to steam and moisture.
Archiving & Re-edition
Your files are kept indefinitely. 5 years later, order a new size (grading) or an identical restock without having to send us your hat block back.
